Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola
One of the most important apostolates of our Religious Family is the preaching of the Spiritual Exercises (Const., 16). "The Institute will carry out the evangelization of the culture by means of sanctifying people one-on-one. This will be done preferably by assisting in the Spiritual Exercises according to the method and spirit of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, and by leading people to spiritual direction" (Const., 171).
The Spiritual Exercises have an irreplaceable value for the renewal of Christian life. The principal goal of the retreat is to teach how to conquer oneself and direct one's life according to God. For this reason we dedicate ourselves to organizing the Spiritual Exercises (cf. Directory of Spirituality, 140).
In all the places where our Religious Family is present, the priests of the Incarnate Word preach the Exercises regularly. To find out upcoming dates and information on attending the Spiritual Exercises, you can visit IVE Ignatian Exercises.
