IVE Priestly Ordinations

On May 31st 2007, the Feast of the Visitation, Reverend Gustavo Nieto celebrated a special Mass at St. John Baptist de LaSalle in Chillum, MD in which Br. Andrey Garcia Mariscal, an IVE seminarian, professed his perpetual religious vows, three of our seminarians renewed their temporary vows, 10 IVE Novices made their Consecration to Our Lady taken from St. Louis De Montfort, and 6 new lay people were admitted into the 3rd Order of the Incarnate Word.

On June 1st, the Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, ordained Deacons Anthony Melendez, IVE and Jeffrey Obniski, IVE to the Holy Priesthood and Br. Andrey Garcia Mariscal to the Diaconate at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, Washington D.C. Assisting at the celebration was His Eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, with whom we were most honored to share this day of grace for our Religious Family.

We all thank God for the incredible gifts He has bestowed on our Religious Family, especially in bestowing upon us priests to bring His Eucharistic presence more abundantly throughout the world, always through the intercession of Our Lady.
