Divine Mercy Sunday at Our Lady of Peace

Like today’s responsorial psalm, “give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His love is everlasting,” at Our Lady of Peace and Saint Leo the Great, we have much to be thankful for!

At the 9:30 AM Mass at Saint Leo, two of the adults in our adult sacrament preparation received the Eucharist for the first time. It was a great grace that at last they could receive Our Lord after much preparation and dedication.

At Our Lady of Peace, there were confessions beginning at 1 PM followed by a special Mass of the Divine Mercy at 2:30 PM. The confession lines quickly filled as the priests stationed themselves outside. A visiting priest from Santa Lucia celebrated a beautiful Mass, and joined the procession around the Shrine. We listened to some meditations about the infinite mercy of God before reciting the five parts of the Chaplet. We ended the Chaplet inside the church with Benediction. We pray to Mary, the Mother of Mercy, to continue to convert many hearts to receive the mercy that Our Lord wants to bestow upon us.
