Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola
As part of our spirituality, each member of our Religious Family participates in the month long Spiritual Exercises. These Exercises are preached following the formula given by St. Ignatius of Loyola. The purpose of these Exercises is so that we can know the will of God and form resolutions to draw us closer to Him.
During the month of July, 2006, the month long Spiritual Exercises were held at St. Patrick's IVE Retreat House in Cario, NY. Twenty-seven sisters, professed and novices, participated in the Exercises. We are very thankful to Fr. Edgar Dias, IVE, and Deacon Anthony Jesus Melendez, IVE,
who preached and guided us in the Exercises. We also thank Mother Mary of the Sacred Heart, Mistress of Novices, Sister Mary of the Annunciation and our postulants for assisting and meeting all the sisters' needs. We also thank our benefactors who provided for us to make this retreat possible.
The Spiritual Exercises are also offered regularly for laity by the priests of our Religious Family. For more information on attending weekend silent retreats, please visit http://www.iveignatianexercises.org.
We are grateful to God for the gift of our recent Spiritual Exercises and we entrust all graces received to Our Blessed Mother.
