Our sisters in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Community (St. Gabriel's, Brooklyn) were recently privileged to venerate the Heart of the Holy Cure of Ars. The community traveled on October 9th, 2006 to the parish of St. John Vianney in Merrick, NY. Fr. Charles Mangano, the pastor, invited deacons, seminarians, religious brothers, and sisters to take part in the solemn vespers during the visit of the relics. Following the liturgy, the consecrated men and women went forward to honor the saint’s heart. Special intentions were offered for the sanctification and perseverance of all priests, and especially for the recently deceased Fr. Benito Lagos.

We give thanks for this grace, and ask St. John Vianney to grant us the grace to have a pure and holy heart capable of loving Christ as he has loved us.
