We said farewell to His Eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick. We thank him for all his great works and efforts he has done for the Archdiocese of Washington.

On June 22, 2006 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the Mass of Installation of His Excellency The Most Reverend Donald W. Wuerl as the new Archbishop of Washington was celebrated (photo on the right with the sisters). Archbishop Donald W. Wuerl was appointed the sixth Archbishop of Washington on May 16, 2006. He was the 11th Bishop of Pittsburgh for eighteen years.
