Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará

Feast of Our Lady of Lujan
Consecration of Novices to Mary

In our Religious Family, we consecrate ourselves to Mary following the method of Total Consecration by Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort. We make this consecration so that our lives are "…a total surrender to Mary to better serve Jesus Christ…(Const., 82)." The consecration has two aspects: 'Maternal slavery of love' and 'Marianizing life'. In 'Maternal slavery of love' "…we freely and willingly, moved only by love, offer ourselves and all our goods to Mary and through her to Jesus Christ (Const., 83)." In 'Marianizing life' we do everything "through Mary, with Mary, in Mary, and for Mary (Directory of Spirituality, 307)."

On May 8th, 2006, the Feast of Our Lady of Lujan, the patroness of our Religious Family, nine novices made their consecration to Mary at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C.

May Mary always protect and lead our novices to Christ, the Divine Spouse.
