For day by day coverage of our pilgrimage, see the IVE America site. For video coverage visit H2O News. Read the complete texts of the Holy Father's visit among the youth available on the Vatican site.

We give thanks to Our Lady and the many patron saints of this World Youth Day for the graces of these days of pilgrimage and encounter with Christ and His Church. Join us in praying for our young pilgrims that they may be the light of Christ in the New Millennium.

Reason for all to Rejoice: John Paul the Great will be Beatified May 1st in Rome!

The announcement of the beatification of John Paul II scheduled for May 1st was finally made on January 14th. We have always had a great reverence and affection for Pope John Paul II since our beginnings in 1988 under his pontificate. So many of us were encouraged in our religious vocations and in our missionary zeal by his example and his closeness to young people everywhere.

Fr. Buela, our founder, has always called him the "spiritual father" of our Religious Family, carefully noting that the Institute of the Incarnate Word began on March 25, 1984, the same day that the pope consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in conjunction with all the bishops of the world.
