Divine Providence and the Vow of Poverty
As religious sisters, we take the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.  The religious vow of poverty means both our resignation of personal wealth in imitation of Jesus Christ, as well as our trustful surrender to Divine Providence.  In all things we live by what God send us, by donations.

Who Donates to Us?
Financial and material donations come to us from faithful Catholics who wish to share in our missions and fulfill the precept of almsgiving, as well as from business owners who respond to our requests, and even from anonymous donors who are spontaneously moved to give from the abundance of their riches.  Our most precious donations are often given by the poor themselves‡‘ΐthe “widow’s mite.”

The Support of Sisters at Home and Abroad
Here in the United States, our community experiences the generosity of many people, even a large number of non-Catholics, who support our vocations and our work among God’s people.

However, our sisters are also present in many difficult mission countries and must dependent on outside support for their needs.  These missions are either in very poor places or in cultures which are indifferent or even hostile to the presence of Christians and therefore offer no local support.

Learn how You can Help
We invite our readers to consider almsgiving through the support of our local vocations and the apostolates here in the United States, or to learn about and support some of our neediest foreign missions.

“And whoever gives only a cup of cold water to one of these little ones to drink because he is a disciple‡‘ΐ
amen, I say to you, he will surely not lose his reward." (Mattew 10:42)
