Third Ordinary General Chapter

Our Third Ordinary General Chapter began on June 29, 2010. A general chapter is convoked ordinarily every six years for thirty days to discuss topics related to the defense of the patrimony of the Institute, to evaluate the fulfillment of past goals and to project the future. Popular Missions 2010

New Pro-Life Monastery of St. Gianna Beretta Molla Opens in Brazil

The Monastery of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla was inaugurated on April 30th in Brazil. Our contemplative sisters there have received the special spiritual mission of praying for life and making reparation for those who threaten life, especially for those who promote abortion. IVE Youth Festival 2010

First Communions and Confirmations

This year we had the joy of seeing hundreds of children and teenagers receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation. Our sisters serve as directors of religious education (DRE's) and teach catechism in eight dioceses in this Province. Confirmations and the Visit of our Bishop in Guyana

On Saturday, May 15, 2010, his Excellency Francis Alleyne, OSB, the bishop of Guyana (the whole country is one diocese) traveled from Georgetown over land and a river open to the sea to St. Francis Xavier Parish in Charity.

He began his visit by meeting the 13 candidates for Confirmation, young people from 5 different chapel communities on the Essequibo Coast and the Pomeroon River. He spoke with them about the importance of the sacrament they were about to receive... <more>
